Social Entrepreneurship is one of the most effective strategies for lifting people out of poverty, and The Social Entrepreneur Corps (SE Corps) is on the cutting edge of this approach in Latin America. On this exciting eight-week long internship program, up to 20 UConn students interested in international development will work directly with SE Corps field professionals and social entrepreneurs in Guatemala to help develop and sustain micro-consignment supported businesses.
You will have the opportunity to live with homestay families, learn spanish, travel Guatemala, engage in intensive case study analyses, and volunteer with some incredible NGOs. You will not only make a tangible difference in people’s lives, but you will also gain the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to become international development professionals.
