We are excited to announce a very special alliance at UConn. The Opportunity Fund Project and The Ovarian Cancer Awareness Organization have joined forces to raise awareness and support for a cause that is very personal to our members. In recognition of our deep interest in helping others in need, we decided to do something really big, and we are inviting you to be a part of it. We are creating a unique collection of comfort food recipes from all over the world for our one of a kind OFP/OCA Comfort Food Cookbook. We believe together we can raise ovarian cancer awareness and would be honored to include one of your special recipes.
But this cookbook is more than a collection of great food; it’s a celebration of the comfort, culture, and connection that unites our UConn community, and we plan to share this spirit with the world. Please share your favorite recipe and, if possible, include a short note about the recipe's origins: who it came from, a meaningful memory it provides, or simply why it brings you comfort.
All recipe contributors will receive a free digital edition of the completed cookbook. For those who wish to offer additional support, any proceeds raised will directly assist our mission to provide education, advocacy, and compassionate care for individuals through our partnership with the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition. Funds help sustain survivor and caregiver peer support, counseling services, care packages, meal delivery, financial assistance, educational resources, and community outreach programs. It also helps sustain vital research that is needed to thwart this life-altering disease, which historically has been vastly underfunded and now being cut.
