Join us for this year’s Annual Luis B. Eyzaguirre Lecture Workshop, a special opportunity to engage more closely with the work and research of our featured speaker.
Presented by El Instituto, the Eyzaguirre Lecture Fund, Spanish Studies (LCL Department), and the ELIN Fire Fund, the workshop features Dr. Juan Carlos Rodríguez (Ph.D., Duke University) — Director of Vieques: A Living Archive, Associate Professor of Spanish at Georgia Tech, and co-director of the Atlanta Global Studies Center.
Dr. Rodríguez’s scholarship focuses on Latin American documentary, sustainability, and digital humanities. Building on themes from Vieques: A Living Archive — a film examining the history of Vieques and the U.S. Navy’s departure in 2003 — this interactive session will explore the process of transforming archival materials into film.
