Volunteer Opportunities

  • 2/26 Summer 2026 UConn Health Leader Application Opens

The University of Connecticut Health Leaders (UCHL) is a community-based pre-health program founded to bridge healthcare disparities by addressing the social determinants of health for the State of Connecticut. The University of Connecticut is the primary health system that takes care of Medicaid patients in our state, and is thus an excellent environment for such a program to exist.

We will soon be accepting applications for the Summer session of our program and would appreciate it if you could spread the word about this opportunity. The application opens on February 26th and will close on March 26th. The program will run from June 1st to August 7th, with a mandatory training day on May 30th. Volunteers will be required to complete 40 hours over the course of the program and volunteer shifts are available from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.

Interested students, alumni, and pre-health individuals can learn more about the program and apply through the UConn Health Leaders website. The website will be updated shortly with the application!
