Our Emergency Med First Aid Olympics is a hands-on, team-based event designed to simulate realistic prehospital patient care scenarios. The event will be taking place this Thursday, February 19th from 6-7 pm in Business 211.
Participants will begin with a multi-patient car accident scene where they must perform scene size-up, triage, and initial management for several injured patients at once. They will then rotate through individual patient scenarios, applying structured patient assessment, treatment skills, and clinical decision-making. Some cases will remain at the BLS level, while others will require recognizing when to activate ALS and escalate care. Teams will be evaluated on assessment accuracy, intervention choices, teamwork, and communication, with top-performing groups recognized at the end. Don’t miss out on this great opprotunity!
