The Office of Research & Scholarship is pleased to host guest speaker Dr. Roman Shrestha, associate professor at the University of Connecticut College of Agriculture, Health and Natural Resources Department of Allied Health Sciences, as he presents Leveraging mHealth Platform to Improve HIV Prevention Outcomes among Men who have Sex with Men in Malaysia on Monday, March 9, 2026, noon – 1:15 p.m.
Dr. Shrestha’s research has primarily centered on interventions and implementation science at the interface of HIV and substance use with particular focus on HIV prevention and treatment issues. Specifically, his work emphasizes on the design, delivery, and placement of biomedical and behavioral interventions for optimal use in various settings. He has conducted research in a range of settings, including community and healthcare, addiction treatment, and criminal justice settings, both domestically and internationally.
