Get ready to innovate at HackUConn 2026 by kicking things off at the HackUConn Prep Pizza Social, hosted by the Werth Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation!
HackUConn is a student-run innovation hackathon where students come together to design, build, and pitch creative solutions to real-world challenges — all in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Over the course of the event, teams transform ideas into prototypes, apps, products, or service concepts, with mentorship, workshops, networking opportunities, and prizes along the way. Whether you're looking to gain hands-on experience, grow your resume, meet collaborators, or challenge yourself creatively, HackUConn is an incredible place to start.
And most importantly — all students are welcome. You do not need to be a coder, engineer, or have prior hackathon experience. Students from business, design, health sciences, liberal arts, engineering, data science, and beyond all play valuable roles on teams. Whether you bring coding skills, design talent, research insight, marketing strategy, or simply a strong idea and curiosity to learn, there’s a place for you. Beginners are encouraged, and support will be available throughout the event.
