  • 2/19 Public Health Conversations and Snacks

Public health is everywhere. It needs people from ALL backgrounds. Whether you’re studying engineering, biology, psychology, business, or something totally different, Public Health 101 shows how your skills can make a real-world impact.

    What You’ll Learn
These classroom sessions break down what public health is, what professionals do day-to-day, and how public health shapes the communities we live in—from health policy and disease prevention to environmental health and social justice.

    Interactive + Student-Led
Led by current UConn MPH students, these sessions are interactive, welcoming, and built for questions. You’ll hear honest insights about the MPH experience, career paths, and tuition-saving opportunities.

    Panels, People, and Snacks
Each session features a panel that may include professors, researchers, students, or public health professionals, giving you multiple perspectives in one room. Plus, there will be snacks and drinks; because learning is better fueled.

Whether you’re curious about public health, thinking about grad school, or just exploring your options, Public Health 101 is an easy, low-commitment way to see if this field is for you.
