    Call for Student Innovators

    Storrs students are invited to showcase their innovative work in Hartford. Participate in a Student Innovation Showcase highlighting experiential learning and connecting students directly with industry professionals, faculty, and campus partners. The event will take place at the Graduate Business Learning Center (GBLC) in Hartford, offering students a chance to present their work in a professional, industry‑adjacent setting.

    Who Should Apply

    This opportunity is open to all UConn Storrs students, from any discipline or program, including students working on:

    • Class or capstone projects
    • Challenge or competition entries
    • Research or applied learning projects
    • Entrepreneurial ideas or prototypes
    • Internship‑ or industry‑informed work
    • Independent or co‑curricular innovation

    What Participants Will Do

    Selected students will:

    • Present their work or experiences at a public showcase attended by industry professionals
    • Engage in conversations about real‑world learning and transferable skills
    • Practice explaining the impact of experiential learning beyond the classroom
    • Network with professionals and campus partners in a Hartford‑based environment

    Presentation formats may include posters, demos, table discussions, digital displays, or short talks.

    How to Submit

    Interested students should complete an email sent to katherine.lorange@uconn.edu including:

    • Name(s) and major/program
    • Type of participation (project, mentorship experience, or both)
    • A brief description of what you would like to share
    • How your experience reflects experiential learning
