Recruiting Couples for Sexual Communication Study

We are conducting a two-part research study to better understand sexual communication in relationships, and we are looking for couples to participate.

Part 1: Baseline Online Survey (30 minutes)

Details: Both partners will be asked to complete a 30-minute online survey assessing sexual communication with your current partner, your sexual and relationship satisfaction, and demographic information.

Part 2: Lab Visit, Including Pre-Visit Survey (2.5 hours)

Details: The second part of the study focuses on expressive writing and intimate disclosures. Both partners complete a 30-minute online survey and writing exercise before the lab visit. Partners will then attend a 1.5-hour lab session together. The lab visit involves providing saliva samples, having a conversation about your sexual relationship, engaging in a creative/drawing activity, and taking a short survey. Both partners will be asked to complete a 15-minute online survey one month after their lab visit.

    Compensation:

Participants will be compensated $80 per couple ($40 per partner) after completing the follow-up online survey.

    Eligibility:

To participate, both partners must meet the following criteria:

    ·       Age 18+

    ·       Currently in a sexual relationship of at least 3 months

    ·       Comfortable answering questions about sexual behavior and your relationship

    ·       Comfortable discussing their sexual relationship and providing saliva samples

    ·       No major health issues
