Green Careers Panel (TODAY!): Find your career in sustainability on Feb 2 in McHugh. From 3-5, we’ll have eco clubs and employers tabling in the McHugh Lobby, followed by panelists, pizza, and networking in McHugh 301 from 4:30-6:30 pm.
Recyclethon: compete against other residence halls to see who has the best recycling practices… for a prize! The event runs the entire month of February, starting on the 1st.
Sewing Workshop: learn about clothing waste and basic hand sewing techniques at Old Buckley Dining Hall on February 5 from 6:30-9:00 pm.

Reason to Smile: One small step for man, and one giant leap for marine biodiversity! The United Nations has officially adopted the High Seas Treaty, which aims to designate up to 30% of international waters as marine protected areas (MPAs) by 2030!
CT Sustainable News: A new project has begun in New Haven to develop a geothermal energy network to provide clean energy to the city. This source of low-emission energy will support the New Haven train station and an estimated 1,000 housing units. It will also serve as a trial run for geothermal energy projects in the state.
