Take ENGL 2413 (The Graphic Novel) during this winter intersession and spend three weeks reading short graphic novels and excerpts, learning about this popular medium and the language of graphic storytelling, and trying your own hand at drawing and creating stories. Assignments include discussions, critical and creative exercises, and the final project (you can choose between a multimedia presentation or making your own short comic). No previous drawing or creative experience is necessary. Dec 29 – Jan 16. This is an online & asynchronous class, which satisfies CA1 content area and TOI 1 and TOI 2 topics of inquiry requirements.
