  • 12/12 Dinner & Discussion: Muslim Mental Health

    Hello!

The UConn Health Muslim Student Association invites you to a discussion on mental health in faith-based communities, particularly in the Muslim community. Leading the discussion will be Dr. Javeed Sukhera, Chair of Psychiatry at the Institute of Living and Chief of Psychiatry at Hartford Hospital. Dr. Sukhera will explore the unique challenges faced by Muslims and Muslim patients related to mental health, the impact of stigma, and how we as providers and community members can create supportive environments to address these needs through compassion, faith, and understanding.

This event is open to all and will take place this Friday, December 12th from 6-9 pm in the Academic Rotunda at UConn Health. Food will be provided.

We hope to see you there!
