    Testing electrodermal activity reconstruction under different types of motion artifacts under water

                    

    Purpose of this study: Testing electrodermal activity reconstruction under different types of motion artifacts under water

    Research procedures: You will be asked to wear sensors on your fingers, on the left and right feet, for measuring your sweat production, under different types of motion artifacts under water. Note that only right foot will be submerged under water.

    Duration: 1 hour.  Location: Engineering and Science Building (ESB) 406

    Eligibility: Individuals who are healthy and over 18 years of age.

    Exclusion criteria: Individuals with previous heart problems, chronic stress, post-traumatic stress disorder or history of physical abuse, Raynaud’s syndrome, women who are pregnant, and anyone who is currently ill (common cold, upper respiratory infection, etc.)

    Subjects taking the following drugs within 24 hours of the experiment or during the experiment will not be asked to participate: caffeine, alcohol, psychoactive drugs, nicotine or marijuana, other recreational drugs, and medicine of any kind that is not normally taken daily.

    Compensation/Costs: You will not be paid to be in this study, and there are no costs for participation.
