AHA CPR and Stop the Bleed Instructor Applications Now Open

UConn Rescue is now accepting applications for our Spring 2026 Instructor Class. This opportunity is open to any current UConn student who is interested in teaching life saving skills to the campus community.

Instructors with UConn Rescue serve in two roles. They become certified American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR and AED instructors and they also become Stop the Bleed instructors through the national ACS program. All accepted applicants will complete an American Heart Association instructor certification course during the Spring 2026 semester followed by a student teaching experience.

Our instructor team is made up of dedicated and skilled members of the UConn community who regularly teach CPR and Stop the Bleed classes across campus. Instructors are eligible for stipends based on the number of classes they teach.

Applications are currently open and accepting responses until December 14th, 2025 at 11:59PM. The application can be accessed through this link.

Students who are interested can learn more and access the application through UConn Rescue or reach out to the Training Coordinator at training@uconnrescue.com.
