I wanted to leave some information on
the Center for Career Readiness and Life Skills for students to take a look at in case they're interested! The Center focuses on helping students become career ready, assisting in
Job-Search, Major Exploration, Building a Network and Preparing Application Materials.
+ There are also a few other resources I would like to put on your radar, and I would encourage students to look at them, as they can be helpful to most.
This resource features a lot of information on how to write Resumes and Cover Letters, which is something a lot of students feel intimidated by, but with good guidance it becomes something rewarding to do!
In this guide you can find strategies to make your LinkedIn profile look more professional and approachable. LinkedIn is one of the most accessible ways to network with people in your area of interested, so having a curated profile can be a game-changer in your job-searching process.
Here you will find many different skills to work on to become career ready. These are skills employers actively look for, so it is important to become familiar with them.
If students need further assistance, they can also visit the Center for Career Readiness and Life Skills on the 2nd floor of the Wilbur Cross Building, here you will be able to talk to professionals who will guide you and help you become career ready.
Thank you for your attention!
