Interested in going abroad to serve others and provide accessible health resources? Volunteers Around the World (VAW) is an organization that places teams of interns in host countries to help local communities develop their healthcare system.
The Medical Outreach program offers free medical exams and medications to patients. During this 2-week immersive experience, student interns gain experience with patient intake, taking vital signs, and pharmacy, as well as valuable 1:1 shadowing time with a doctor, and gain 60+ clinical hours!
