The UConn Urban Semester program is now accepting applications for the Spring 2026 cohort.
Since 1968, UConn's Urban Semester program has offered a semester-long, 27 hour/week public service internship program open to all majors from all campuses.
Accepted Urban Semester students complete an internship at a non-profit organization or government agency in Hartford. The program is a full 15 credit semester. UConn grants 9 semester credit hours for the internship. Urban Semester students link their internship experiences with social science theories in two 3 credit seminars. Urban Semester students gain valuable experience, skills, and networking opportunities through the program.
Applications will be accepted through November 10.
