Hello all,
Thank you so much for your interest in Spring Valley Student Farm! We are excited to announce that we will be accepting applications for a resident position at the farm for the Spring 2026 Semester.
This is a great opportunity to grow, learn, and engage with organic farming practices while building community on and off the farm. Resident students work 10 hours a week at SVSF in exchange for reduced housing costs. We accept applicants from all majors and no prior farm experience is required, just a willingness to learn.
The application form and in depth information about the position can be found on the dining services website at: https://dining.uconn.edu/spring-valley-farm/housing/. Applications for this position are due 11/2/25.
If you are interested in applying and have not visited the farm we highly encourage you to come to one of our ‘Farm Friday’ volunteer days to get a better understanding of the position. Farm Fridays are held every Friday from 4-6pm, until Oct. 31st, at the farm (104 Spring Manor Road, Storrs). Please also feel free to reach out to our farm manager, Jess Larkin-Wells, to request for a tour of the farm as well.
If you have any further questions about the position please contact Jessica Larkin-Wells at: jessica.larkin-wells@uconn.edu
If you would like to speak with a current resident farmer you are welcome to contact Romina at: romina@uconn.edu
Thank you for your interest!
