Are you looking for a way to combine meaningful service with a unique travel experience? The UConn Habitat for Humanity Alternative Break is an exciting week-long service trip that takes place during Spring Break 2026 as part of the national Habitat Collegiate Challenge. This year, we’ll be travelling to Tacoma, Washington to join a local Habitat affiliate in building safe, affordable housing for families in need.
Participants will spend the week working alongside other students and community members on construction and renovation projects- no prior building or construction experience is necessary! You’ll gain hands-on skills, form lasting connections, and most importantly, contribute to a cause that truly matters.
This program is open to students of all backgrounds who are passionate about service, teamwork, and making a difference.
