Are you passionate about representing UConn and helping future Huskies discover all that our university has to offer? Do you enjoy sharing your own experiences and building connections with prospective students and their families? If so, we invite you to apply for one of our paid student leadership opportunities: Husky VIP or Husky Insider, by September 22nd!

The Husky VIP program serves as UConn’s official tour guide team. In this role, students lead campus tours for the daily visit program as well as for major admissions events throughout the academic year. Husky VIPs are also trained to provide general customer service support, which may include answering phones, assisting with reception duties at the Lodewick Visitors Center and Tasker Building, checking in guests for tours, and ensuring a welcoming and informative experience for all visitors. This is a highly visible role that allows you to develop strong communication, leadership, and professional skills while making a lasting impact on prospective students and their families.

The Husky Insider role offers an additional opportunity for students who are especially interested in supporting the recruitment of underrepresented populations to UConn. Husky Insiders provide campus tours for school groups, conduct personalized outreach to prospective students through phone calls and video chats, and engage in other outreach efforts designed to increase access and representation. By serving as a Husky Insider, you play a key role in UConn’s mission to build a diverse and inclusive community.

Both positions provide valuable leadership and professional development experiences, along with the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of future Huskies.
