Learn the basic principles of geographic information systems (GIS) and make your own map! This workshop will introduce the fundamental concepts of GIS using ArcGIS online. This workshop includes:
- An overview of the fundamentals of GIS and geospatial data.
- A demonstration of ArcGIS Online, including how to add layers, modify symbology, and filter data.
- Resources for learning more about GIS at UConn.
- A self-guided tutorial for making a basic map using ArcGIS Online, and tutorial lab time.
