Holy Family Home and Shelter’s mission is to empower families and individuals experiencing homelessness by providing emergency and temporary housing. The shelter, located in Willimantic, CT, serves families of all ages. While most of the children attend school locally, the early evening hours can be challenging, as the kids often feel restless after school.
As volunteers, our role will be to create a positive, structured after-school environment for the children. This may include helping with homework, leading fun activities, or organizing small events. Examples include movie nights, crafts, holiday decorating, playground games, “spa nights,” or group games.
Shift Times will be held as follow:
Mondays: 3:00–5:00 PM
Wednesdays: 6:00–8:00 PM
Fridays: 3:00–5:00 PM
Please allow an additional 20 minutes outside of these times for travel.

Yes, we will provide transportation to and from the shelter.

Unfortunately, no. These are the only shift times available.

Nope! Each volunteer will be assigned one shift per week.
Can I volunteer every other week instead of weekly?
