Join us for the first meeting of Interleaf: A Scholarly Writing Group, meeting Wednesdays from 4:30-6:30 at Homer Babbidge Library 1102. This is a space for graduate students, postdocs, and all scholars engaged in writing and publishing to build community across disciplines, to set aside dedicated structured time to write, and to feel less isolated in the pursuit of a finished draft. Writing groups are also a connection point for collaborative resource, service, and expertise sharing.
Drop in for all or part(s) of the meeting as your capacity allows. You are welcome to stop in late or leave early. Registration is appreciated but not required.
Meeting Structure:
4:30-5:00: Introductions (to each other and scholarly work)
5:00-6:00: Sustained writing (weekly accountability time to write in community)
6:00-6:15: Interleaf exit (expressions of interest and affirmation of someone else's work across disciplines)
6:15-6:30: Research chat (share resources, suggested readings, or ask a librarian)
Interleaf (n): a page inserted between pages of a book, often blank or supplementary; a space of connection, reflection, and addition
