  • Fall 2025 UConn Health Leaders Application Open

The University of Connecticut Health Leaders (UCHL) is a community-based pre-health program founded for bridging health care disparities by addressing the social determinants of health for the State of Connecticut. The University of Connecticut is the primary health system that takes care of Medicaid patients in our state, thus an excellent environment for such a program to exist.

We are now accepting applications for the Fall 2025 session of our program. The Fall 2025 application cycle will close on Friday, June 27th at 11:59 pm and late applications will not be considered. The program will run from September 8th to November 14th, with a mandatory training day on September 6th. Volunteers will be required to complete 40 hours and volunteer shifts are available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Interested students, alumni, and pre-health individuals can learn more about the program and apply through the UConn Health Leaders website

On Wednesday, June 4th at 6:30pm, we are hosting a virtual information session to share more about the UCHL program, our mission and values, and provide an opportunity to ask our leadership team any questions you may have. The Webex link to join can be found here or in the bio of the UConn Health Leaders Instagram page.
