Robert Tilton Prize in American Studies 2025
This $1000 prize is awarded to the best essay in American Studies written at Uconn by an undergraduate student in an undergraduate class. The topic should deal with some aspect of U.S. history, literature, art, politics, or culture, or with the flow of cultures, ideas, peoples, and power across US borders. It should be five to fifteen pages in length. The paper must have been written between January 2024 and the present. Candidates must be current or graduating UConn students. The deadline is 5:00 PM May 16, 2025. Decisions will be announced in late May. To submit your essay, please go to https://forms.office.com/r/rtTf3FFtqQ. You may upload your essay with a resume or cover letter, but this is not required. Please upload everything you submit as a single PDF with the document titled “Lastname, Firstname Tilton Prize.”
