Each year, the Undergraduate Student Government contributes $76,000 worth of free printing for students. This semester, USG allocated an additional $10,000 to accommodate for a higher demand in the printing service. As of today, April 10th, $63,637 has been spent, meaning that there is only $6,363 remaining. Students need to consider printing sparingly and only using the double-sided and black and white features in order to preserve this money for finals week.
UConn does not financially contribute to the funding of Free Printing. It is solely provided by the Academic Affairs committee of USG, hence the set amount. We have already added additional funds to account for higher spending, but are unable to contribute more.
When this printing money is gone, students will be required to pay out-of-pocket for all on-campus WEPA printing.
