    Project/Program Specialist – Admissions Representative

    The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is seeking to hire several Admissions Representatives to support the university-wide effort to make the incoming Class of 2026 the most academically competitive, socially diverse, and talented class to date.

    Admissions Representatives will represent the University of Connecticut and the Office of Undergraduate Admissions by hosting information sessions at secondary schools, distributing information and responding to inquiries at college fairs and related programs throughout the country, either in-person or virtually. They will communicate with prospective applicants, their parents, and secondary school counselors concerning the benefits of a UConn education, the variety of educational opportunities available, the nature of the undergraduate student experience, and the academic standards and criteria for admission to the University.

    Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; must possess excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills and a demonstrated ability to operate with minimal supervision.

    Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to the most recent University of Connecticut graduates who have taken an active role in research and/or campus activities and have demonstrated a commitment to academic excellence.

    Appointment Terms: This is a special payroll (temporary) full-time position running from late-July through late-October. These positions may be extended through February 2026 to continue assisting with application review and additional recruitment programs as needed. Determination of an extension is not guaranteed and will be based upon a review of performance and available funding. This position requires travel, working flexible and irregular hours, and the ability to lift boxes filled with recruitment materials. The University covers all travel expenses related to official UConn recruitment only. This appointment may afford you the opportunity to purchase optional State employee health insurance at group rates.
