    In honor of Women’s History Month, USG’s Chief Diversity Office proudly presents the HERstory in Motion Series featuring Wanjiku “Wawa” Gatheru (UConn ‘20)— a Rhodes, Udall, and Truman Scholar, and the founder of Black Girl Environmentalist, a movement empowering Black women in climate activism. 🌍

    As a first-generation Kenyan American, Wawa is a changemaker who bridges environmental and social justice through powerful advocacy. Her journey of perseverance, leadership, and impact is one you won’t want to miss!
