In celebration of World Hijab Day (February 1st), we are excited to invite you to a special workshop titled “Exploring Modesty Beyond the Fabric: A South Asian Woman's Perspective.” This session will feature NISA, who will be discussing the significance and meaning of the hijab.
This workshop will also explore how modesty looks different throughout South Asia, highlighting the diverse ways women and men express their faith, culture, and identity. It’s a great opportunity to learn about the various forms of modesty in the South Asian context and hear personal stories.
Here are the details:
Date: Wednesday, February 5th, 2025
Time: 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM
Location: BUSN 112
NISA will also provide a chance to try on hijabs and answer any questions you may have. We’ll be serving fruit, sweets, and lemonade, so come for the conversation, stay for the treats!
We hope to see you there to celebrate and learn together!
