The application for School of Business admission for the Fall 2025 term is now open. Applications will be accepted from January 21, 2025 through February 3, 2025 for admission in the Fall 2025 term. Also, please carefully review the page as some School of Business requirements have been updated and effective for the 2025-2026 catalog year.
On Friday January 17, 2025, School of Business faculty passed the following updates to the School of Business requirements, effective in the 2025-26 catalog.
1. Current Non-Business students planning to apply to a Business major must take the following eligibility requirements into account going forward. These are effective immediately as the application open from January 21 through February 3, 2025 are applying for admission into the Fall 2025 term, therefore the 25-26 catalog. To be eligible to apply, applicants must have:
a. Earned a minimum 3.000 cumulative GPA as reflected on a University of Connecticut transcript at the time of application (new transfer students from outside of the University of Connecticut do not need a UConn GPA to apply if all other eligibility criteria are met);
b. Earned at least 40 credits (as represented reflected on a University of Connecticut transcript),
i. For students admitted to UConn as a First-Year student this includes at least 24 credits in-residence while a matriculated UConn student. This does not include courses like ECE and non-degree completed prior to their first semester as a UConn student.
ii. New transfer students from a university outside of the University of Connecticut applying in their first term at UConn do not need to have completed any credits in residence to apply if all other eligibility criteria are met but must be enrolled in at least 12 credits at UConn at the time of application. These student’s final grades will be reviewed for the application.

2. Current Business and Non-Business students following the general education plan of study can now take any Content Area 4 courses in place of the Business Diversity requirement. This applies to students in any catalog year.
