Earn PSYC/WGSS 3102: Psychology of Women (3 credits, CA4) credit abroad this summer on the Summer Psychology in Vienna program.
This course is available for Honors conversion.
By studying women and gender abroad, we will have the opportunity to experience a range of cultural practices and ideologies. This will provide a richer context in which to understand historical and contemporary issues like gender roles, socialization, women's relationships, violence against women, LGBTQ issues, and the effect of race, culture and class.
This course is offered as a Faculty-Led Summer Program in Vienna, Austria. Students will spend time both in the classroom and exploring the city. Students will immerse in the culture, the food, the art, the history, and the politics of the city. Vienna is now regarded as one of the most gender-sensitive cities in the world.
