Students can earn CA1 & CA4 INT credit by enrolling in HIST/AAAS 2866: China and the West (3 credits) on this faculty-led program.
This life-changing opportunity will bring you across China to immerse students in the history, arts, culture, and social life of China. Traveling to Beijing, Shanghai, and Xi’an, students will have the opportunity to visit world famous heritage sites such as The Great Wall of China, Terracotta warriors, Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City. This course will provide students with an increased understanding of the Sino-Wester interactions and of Western perceptions about China. Students will also strengthen their critical thinking and writing skills through readings, discussions, assignments, and research.
