Experiential Learning comes in many forms and can lead to some of the most impactful learning! Become a UConn Connects Peer Mentor this spring semester to reap the many benefits, including:
- Leadership Skills
- Potential for professional staff recommendation for future professional jobs and graduate school
- Gain insights about motivation, academic success, social barriers for college-age students and their families to enhance your professional impact in future positions
- Develop and hone your motivational interviewing skills, active listening, problem-solving and cross-cultural communication capabiliteis
- Collaborate as part of a supportive community at UConn
- Earn 3 academic credits for participating in the program as a Peer Mentor
Next Steps: Complete an application and schedule a group interview! Students are welcome to scheudle the interview ahead of the application if that's helpful! It is also important to note that if you do not see an interview time that works for your schedule, you can reach out to scheudle an alternative time.
