    Spring & Fall 2025 Social Media Intern Position Available!

     

    The Undergraduate Advising Office is looking for a motivated, hard-working and innovative student to work as the Social Media Intern for the Spring and Fall 2025 academic semesters. This position will work closely with Undergraduate Program Coordinator, Shauna Lombardo, and will be responsible for the design, implementation and management of the social media accounts for the Psychological Sciences Undergraduate Advising Office.

     

    This is a great opportunity for all students looking to gain professional experience in an office setting, and particularly for students interested in working in Marketing, I/O Psych, graphic design, social media, or similar industries.


    Job Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with Shauna to design, implement and manage social media accounts, including Instagram and Facebook
    • Develop a Social Media plan, based in research, to boost student engagement and increase followers
    • Demonstrate effective communication with Shauna, and other office staff when applicable, throughout the internship
    • Create goals, with guidance, for the social media accounts as well as for learning objectives for the student professionally 
    • Periodically attend important office events to cover for the accounts (i.e. Career Series, FYE, Grad School Prep, etc.)
    • Other duties as assigned (i.e. flyer creation, future planning, new platform development)

     

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 30 completed/in progress credits (i.e. rising sophomore status)
    • Minimum GPA of 3.0
    • Desire to work with professional social media platforms
    • Motivated to be creative, collaborative and innovative
    • Ability to meet various deadlines throughout the semester
    • Can work collaboratively and independently

     

    Preferred Qualifications: 

    • Working knowledge of various social media platforms
    • Experience working with social media professionally and/or personally 

     

    Commitment:

    • Academic year commitment (Spring 2025-Fall 2025)
    • Students will earn 1-3 credits of PSYC 3880 (3, 6, or 9 hours per week) and this will be decided on upon hire
