  • 10/22 The Future of Second Chance Pell Education in CT

    Join us on Tuesday, October 22nd at the Hartford Club, located at 46 Prospect Street, Hartford, CT as we explore opportunities to support the needs assessment study for the delivery of postsecondary education programs in correctional facilities.
     
    The event will run from 8:30 am – 3:45 pm and will feature a variety of speakers and panelists. We look forward to welcoming representatives from Maine's Department of Corrections as well as organizers of Minnesota's TREC program (Transformation and Reentry through Education and Community), a model Second Chance Pell initiative. An abbreviated agenda is shared below.

    This opportunity is part of a 4-day series the Criminal Justice Policy and Planning Division (CJPPD) of Connecticut’s Office of Policy and Management is planning across the state. Additional events will take place in Storrs (Monday, 10/21), New Haven (Wednesday, 10/23), and Bridgeport (Thursday, 10/24) and will feature presentations, panel discussions, and strategic working sessions.
