  • 10/10 Black Student Resource Room

Are you a Black student who has ever felt unsupported with writing at the university level? Or are you a Black student currently taking a W course? Are you someone who writes creatively, yet are currently uninspired? Are you working on a cover letter, scholarship application, paper, or presentation? Come create with us in the UConn Storrs Writing Center, using arts & crafts resources and guided writing prompts. This practice will be facilitated by Lex Greene, a Black graduate assistant for the AACC and graduate intern for the UConn Storrs Writing Center. We will create and discuss our experiences using writing resources at UConn as Black students, including the UConn Storrs Writing Center. This is your chance to tell us what may prevent you from using the UConn Storrs Writing Center and any barriers you may have faced as a Black student. This is also your chance to talk to current Writing Center tutors at the Writing Center as you are brainstorming ideas. We look forward to seeing you on October 10th at 6pm!
