  • 10/9 Understanding Intergenerational Stigma

What do we know about the impact of intergenerational stigma?  Three UConn students have been contemplating that question.  Intergenerational stigma refers to the negative attitudes and misconceptions about mental health that are passed down from one generation to the next, often leading to misunderstandings and reluctance to seek help. These students have created a short survey to better understand the experiences and unique challenges faced by UConn students, as well as how these inherited attitudes shape your experiences and perceptions of mental health. By sharing your experiences, you’ll provide valuable insights into the challenges students face. The survey is completely anonymous and takes only a few minutes to complete. Your participation will play an important role in shaping future mental health programs and resources on campus to meet the needs of all students.  Thank you for sharing your perspective and your voice.
