We are pleased to invite you to the ECOM Research Group’s Fall opening events on Friday, September 13!
Our afternoon events will begin with a talk by
Professor Ashley Shaw titled "Is Desire a Natural Kind?" from 4:00 to 5:30 pm in the UCHI Conference Room at 4th floor of the Homer Babbidge Library. The topic of Professor Shaw’s talk lies at the intersection of philosophy of mind, psychology, and action. (See
abstract.)
Following the talk, we will host our
Welcome Event from 5:30 to 7:00 at the Heritage Room (same building and floor). The Welcome Event will provide a wonderful opportunity to meet with our speaker and ECOM members and other colleagues, and to learn more about our group’s upcoming research initiatives and activities. Please join us and enjoy some refreshments, wine, beer, and other beverages! You can find more details and RSVP using the linked attached.
Earlier on Friday September 13, we are hosting a discussion group between 11 am and 12:30 pm on chapters from Matthew Boyles’ Transparency & Self-Knowledge. Please let us know if you’d like to receive the readings and join the discussion. (You can find the details about the discussion group in the attachment.)
Hope to see you next week!
