  • Study Abroad in Costa Rica this Winter

    🇨🇷 During this winter session Experiential Global Learning program, students will consider intersections of human rights, and migration in Central America, with a primary focus on Costa Rica. Students will also study Spanish and be involved in a range of excursions that will complement and enhance their coursework.

    ✏️ This winter students can earn 6 credits abroad on the Winter in Costa Rica faculty-led program. All students will enroll in HRTS/LLAS/SPAN 3294: Topics in Human Rights in Central America. Students will be placed in either LLAS/SPAN 1193 or 3293: Foreign Study: Intensive Spanish (3 credits) depending on their prior Spanish knowledge. For fluent Spanish speakers, LLAS/SPAN 3293 will be a civilization and culture course on Costa Rican literature and history with a focus on human rights issues.
