Study Abroad

  • Study Abroad in Taiwan this Winter

🇹🇼 Spend this winter in one of the most tectonically active and biologically diverse places on Earth on our Winter Geoscience and Geohazards in Taiwan program

✏️ Students will earn 3 credits of GSCI 4995: Special Topics: Geoscience and Geohazards in Tawain on this 3 week faculty led program. The program focuses on mixing field-based geological mapping with an introduction to Chinese culture and history. Students will be hiking and collecting data most of the time while in Taiwan, and pair the experience with classroom lectures in the Fall at UConn and in Tawain to discuss fundamental geological process and how these processes lead to geological hazards.
