Vamos Summer Intern
Vamos is looking for a summer intern to work with the founding team to support in all areas of the business with a focus on marketing, sales, operations, and data collection.
During the summer, this individual will workin the founders with various projects to support the team as they attend the CCEI Summer Fellowship – UConn’s startup accelerator and prepare for a future capital raise. During this time, the intern will have the ability to attend the prestigious CCEI Summer Fellowship – UConn’s startup accelerator program with the founding Vamos team, learning valuable information about how to build a company from the ground up.
The ideal candidate will be driven with a high degree of curiosity and the desire to learn all aspects of building a company. Having an interest and experience in marketing, communications, sales, data analysis, or business administration is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
Attend CCEI Summer Fellowship – UConn’s startup accelerator program and support the founding teams as needed with assignments over the course of the summer
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities
Assist in the creation of our go to market strategy include compiling list of potential targets
Analyze and evaluate new opportunities along with creating supporting documents (e.g. slide decks, etc.)
Manually compile data on cities across the united state to help feed our recommendations engine
Own a project (or multiple!) from start to finish alongside the founding team
Assist the team with additional ad hoc projects and analyses
Create captivating content for social media posts, blog articles, and email newsletters
Collaborate to brainstorm creative ideas and strategies for promoting brand awareness and driving customer engagement
Assist with administrative tasks and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
The fellowship is available to current undergraduate and graduate students, and students that are graduating in May '24.
A high degree of motivation and the ability to independently research and learn new information as needed
Past professional experience in sales, marketing, analytics, or operations in a professional setting required.
The ability to work independently and resolve minor issues without direct input from a supervisor
Ability to multitask and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
Laser-sharp attention to detail, organized, and a high standard for excellence
Operates with urgency and thrives in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment
Experience working in early stage companies or launching their own product a plus
Passionate about travel
More Information
This position will start May 20 or 27th and last for about 10 weeks (If you have a vacation planned during this time we can be flexible). Hours may vary but around 7 hours per day Monday- Thursday, with half day on Friday. The candidate should be able to attend in person sessions in Hartford once or twice per week with the remaining time being remote. A stipend will be provided to this student from the CCEI Summer Fellowship – UConn’s startup accelerator
