    Are you looking to gain more experience within the UConn community? Look no further, our Undergraduate Student Government is currently hiring six positions! 

    Academic Affairs Director: The Academic Affairs Advocacy Director will act as the Administration's top advisor on student academic matters, facilitating policy changes and organizing events to benefit the student body. They will chair the Academic Affairs Advocacy Committee, collaborating with committee members to achieve their mission. Additionally, as a member of the President's Cabinet and the organization's Governing Board, they are expected to provide leadership across the organization.

    Communications Director: The Communications Director oversees the organization's public image and brand, ensuring effective communication of the Governing Board's vision to the UConn community. Responsibilities include supervising a team of employees and designers, collaborating with USG leaders to devise outreach strategies, and utilizing platforms like the website, newsletter, and social media to manage USG's reputation. They also cultivate relationships with local press for coverage of USG events and provide communications advice to the organization.

    Student Services Director: The Student Services Advocacy Director acts as the Administration's primary advisor on student support services and success-related matters. They develop connections, conduct research, and coordinate events to benefit the student body. Chairing the Student Services Advocacy Committee, they collaborate with committee members to achieve their mission. Additionally, as a member of the President's Cabinet and the organization's Governing Board, they provide leadership across the organization.

    External Affairs Director: The External Affairs Advocacy Director serves as the Administration's main advisor on matters outside the university campus, including political issues, partnerships, nonprofit outreach, and alumni relations. They develop connections, conduct research, and coordinate events to benefit the student body. Chairing the External Affairs Advocacy Committee, they collaborate with members to achieve their mission. Additionally, as a member of the President's Cabinet and the organization's Governing Board, they provide leadership across the organization.

    Student Organization Center (SOC) Supervisor: As the Undergraduate Student Government (USG) Student Organization Center (SOC) Supervisor, you will collaborate with the Office of the Vice President to enhance visibility and accessibility of USG resources for student groups. Your responsibilities include chairing SOC staff meetings, managing workflow and schedules, and fostering a positive and collaborative office environment. You will oversee the SOC office space and work on revitalizing and expanding amenities for Tier-II student groups, such as printing, locker storage, and meeting spaces. The USG emphasizes building a diverse and inclusive community and encourages applications from all traditionally underrepresented populations for this role.

    Funding Supervisor: As the Undergraduate Student Government (USG) Funding Supervisor, you will manage and advise 9 employees in completing all of our Tier II funding requests. Additionally, you will be responsible for communicating with clubs that have questions about the funding process or would like to appeal a funding decision.
