Summer Research Travel Funding Opportunity in the MENA Region - UConn Graduate Students

Middle East Studies and The Office of Global Affairs invite current UConn graduate students to apply for summer research travel funding. This opportunity is aimed at supporting travel to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region for research activities. These may include, but are not limited to, work on a Master's thesis or PhD dissertation, enrollment in a language program, or the development of a crucial research skill.

Students may be awarded up to $2500. The application deadline is Friday, March 22 at 11:59 pm. Awardees will be notified by April 1, 2024. The money must be used and reimbursement requests submitted by August 31, 2024. The funding may only be used for travel to MENA countries with level 1 or 2 designations in the US State Department travel categories.

Applications aligning with the goals of UConn’s Abrahamic Programs will be given preference. These goals include fostering understanding and collaboration across different cultures and religious backgrounds. For more details, please visit UConn's Abrahamic Programs.
