HUSKY 4 Immigrants Testimony Workshop
In the last three years, the HUSKY 4 Immigrant coalition successfully expanded HUSKY coverage to undocumented children ages 0-15 and to undocumented pregnant people (prenatal and postpartum). Although there have been great victories, most in our immigrant communities are still left behind with no access to healthcare. This is not sustainable, so we’re ready to keep fighting. This legislative session, we are advocating for the appropriation committee to include funds in the state budget to expand Medicaid to immigrants.

Hospital Financial Assistance Testimony Workshop
Medical debt is a major and growing contributor to the cycle of economic and health inequity. Racial inequities in income, wealth, and insurance coverage play a role in the prevalence and burden of medical debt. This is why Health Equity Solutions and healthcare advocates in Connecticut are advocating to improve the hospital financial assistance policies to increase accessibility to our communities that are most affected by medical debt.
