If you are interested in gaining experience in an elementary school classroom through volunteering, then join America Reads!
We are a Community Outreach volunteer program that provides service to K-5 students. Volunteers work to support the literacy skills of students through work in small groups or one-on-one engagement. Volunteering takes place during the school day, so volunteers have the opportunity to gain classroom experience. The time commitment each week is only 2 hours, and transportation to the school site is provided! America Reads is a fulfilling and stress-free opportunity for volunteers to give back to the communities around them and enrich the lives of the students they tutor.
