All students interested in participating in large instrumental ensembles on the UConn Storrs campus during the Fall 2023 - Spring 2024 semesters must complete a brief placement hearing audition recording and submit them via email to Dr. Janet Song Kim at janetsongkim@uconn.edu.
Students will have the option to select which ensembles they would like to be considered for, but ultimately, placement will be at the discretion of the directors. Please indicate which ensemble you are interested in your email submission. Students may be placed in one of the following ensembles:
- The UConn Wind Ensemble
- Symphonic Band
- Symphony Orchestra
These ensembles will select musicians by placement audition. These groups comprise both undergraduate and graduate music majors as well as non-music degree program students.
All students are welcome to submit auditions.
