Did you know that UConn is home to a one-of-a-kind ASL Special Interest Housing Community?
Where: Watson Hall, Alumni Quad (prime location on campus, close to South and McMahon dining halls, the Rec, the Library, and downtown Storrs)
Who: You! You don’t have to know ASL already to join (though if you do, that’s awesome); we’re looking for all students who have an interest in sign language or Deaf culture on campus. We’re special interest housing, not a learning community, so we’re open to everyone, freshmen through seniors.
When: Apply once the housing application opens on January 1st. Save on stress by skipping the standard dorm selection process!
Why: Learn American Sign Language, improve your skills, join a community of friendly and fun students with a common interest. Participate in different social events throughout the year, like signing dinner, game night, or movie night!
