The Undergraduate Science Journal will be hosting its first Writing in Research event on 11/09 at 6:00-8:00pm in GANT WEST 001
The two hour educational workshop, driven towards preparing undergraduate STEM students to both engage and participate in scientific literature, will feature an interactive lecture from premier PNB professor and researcher, Dr. Geoffrey Tanner. The workshop will be broken up into four constructive modules that place an emphasis on learning through practice. The modules are as follows:
Module 1: Academic Traction
Module 2: Creating Powerful Figures
Module 3: Creating an Effective Abstract
Module 4: Writing in Action
Pizza and refreshments will be provided following the conclusion of the event! Students are more than welcome to stay after to discuss the talk with their peers as well as gain insight into different research opportunities present on campus!
