  • Want to Be a Peer Educator? Join UConn SHAPE

UConn Students Helping to Achieve Positive Esteem (SHAPE) is a peer educator group, through Student Health and Wellness, that strives to promote accepting attitudes towards all body shapes and sizes while helping to encourage self-esteem and positive body image. SHAPE also fosters awareness about disordered eating and eating disorders, the warning signs, and the resources available for support on campus. Some previous involvements of SHAPE have included hosting a Plate Smash event, distributing compliment cards in the Student Union, providing informational presentations for student groups on campus, and participating in SHaW’s Health and Wellness Fairs.
